Brush makers since 1786

Vale Brothers Ltd is the worlds largest brush manufacturer specialising in horse grooming brushes. Brush makers since 1786, we have 225 years of experience, craftsmanship and dedication in developing the most comprehensive range of Vale horse brushes and grooming products available today. In January 2001 we acquired the business of whip manufacturers Edward Goddard Ltd, which was founded in 1887. In 2005 we acquired Thermatex Ltd. Manufacturers of horse rugs, dog coats and thermal clothing; all made from fabric knitted in our factory in Cardigan, South Wales. In 2007 we acquired Harry Dabbs Saddle Makers. Walsall town is famous for saddlery manufacture and Harry Dabbs leads the way in manufacturing saddles built for sporting excellence and performance improvement. In 2015 we acquired E. Jeffries saddle and bridle manufacturers. Jeffries are the oldest commercial saddlery manufacturer in the UK, established in 1820. Under the E.Jeffries banner come Eldonian Bits, Wembley Pro Bridles and Strap goods, and range of quality Jodhpurs and Breeches. In 2015 we acquired Brady Bags which was part of the Jeffries group. Brady was establish in 1887, with a background in fishing and shooting bags. This rich countryside history has inspired a range of leisure bags for both men and women which is now distributed around the world. Still manufactured, with many hand crafted operations, in our Walsall factory, Brady prides itself on using sustainable natural materials such as cotton canvass, English bridle leather, cork, linen and wool tweeds. Technology and craftsmanship combine to make Vale Brothers what it is today. Products are produced to meet all needs and price points. High levels of quality are maintained through stringent material specifications and close working relationships with a varied supplier base. Innovative new products have and will continue to provide customers with equestrian products and leisure bags that exceed their performance expectations.
